AB0601 COMPARISON OF THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM IN THE REHABILITATION OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS PATIENTS

Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is an increasingly common and disabling problem in worldwide. Exercises are considered the cornerstone of non-surgical management knee OA recommended all current clinical guidelines. The diversity exercise programs determines need to compare their efficiency, order recommend best option for patient. Objectives: aim present study was effect on functionality conventional exercises program combinate with manual therapy patients osteoarthritis. Methods: 164 that fulfilled ACR classification criteria (127 females 37 males) ranging age from 42 84 years (mean 62,2 SD 8,76), participated a 10 days two-arm randomized trial. One group (Gr.1) received program, other additionally methods (Gr.2). Pain function were measured Visual Analogue Scale (VAS, mm) Injury Osteoarthritis Outcomes Score (KOOS) 5 domains (Pain, Symptoms, Activity Daily Living (ADL), Sport recreation (Sport/rec.) Quality life (QoL)). Results: In Gr.1 82 mean 61,8±9,2 Gr.2 – 62,7±8,3 (p>0.05). initial level pain (63,4±14,2 vs 60,2±18,8mm) according KOOS (Tab1.) similar both groups, p>0.05. After rehabilitation VAS 39,6±14,8 mm, Gr.2- 28,5±11,6 (p<0.01). results at end improvement, statistically significative (p<0,05).
